Thank you for visiting our site, we are the MetalCrafters FRC (FIRST Robotics Competition) Team 207. Our team is located in Hawthorne—a small city in California's South Bay and part of the Los Angeles County. Since 1999, we have participated in competitions held by the non-profit organization, FIRST. Please feel free to browse our site and don't hesitate in contacting us.

F.I.R.S.T. (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology)

The FIRST Robotics Competition is an exciting, multinational competition that teams professionals and young engineers to solve an engineering design problem in an intense and competitive way. The competitions are like big sporting events that celebrate the enormous amount of focused brainstorming, developing of life skills, dedicated mentoring, project timelines and deadlines. Annually, every team is given six weeks to construct a full-functioning robot that will be competitive in the game announced by FIRST on the kick-off day at the beginning of January.

FIRST is an important part of every robotics team. We are able to gain so much from FIRST as a team and individually as well. FIRST has taught us the value of team work, as well as self reliance. It also inspires us to try our best, and achieve our goals no matter what obstacles face us. Without FIRST there would be no international robotics competitions to such a grand scale. The FIRST organization is the reason thousands of students, of all ages, all over the world are being exposed to engineering in a different perspective. It allows many opportunities for FIRST engineers so that they can get involved with their community and build a dream.
